Funktion’s lead vocalist, Rachel (right) is a versatile and experienced performer with a wide-ranging and powerful voice, capable of tackling the most challenging of vocal lines. Sally (left) plays the keyboard and provides backing vocals. In addition to this, she is the administrative force behind the band, responsible for advertising, organising and scheduling gigs, and sourcing material for the band’s ever-expanding repertoire.

Doug (below) shares guitar duties with John (right). His energy and enthusiasm are apparently without bounds and he possesses the skill and ability to emulate a multitude of styles and techniques with accuracy and flair.

John divides his time and talents between guitar and keyboard. Equally at home in the role of Carlos Santana, or reproducing a skillfully synthesized brass section, his years of musical training and experience facilitate Funktion’s unique versatility & authenticity.

Ian (right) is a studious and meticulous musician, producing thumping bass lines of great integrity, delivered with laser accuracy. He likes nothing more than a good funk, and locks in seamlessly with James (below). James is the power behind the band. With a vast array of live and session experience, he underpins Funktion with a level of professionalism to which many bands can only aspire. His rock steady timing and ability to feel a groove will make sure your event is an unforgettable success.
